Head North on California’s iconic State Route 29 Highway. The vineyards stretch wider, the air feels a little lighter, and you’re next stop is St. Helena!

Your first pours
Start at Clif Family Winery. Grab a mocktail and a bite from the Bruschetteria Food Truck, fresh and seasonal.
Then shift into a rooted experience at Merryvale Vineyards. Head straight into the historic cask room, where towering redwood barrels create an unforgettable backdrop.
In town, Lang & Reed Tasting Room offers a more intimate tasting focused on Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc, while ACME Fine Wines is your stop for curated, hard-to-find bottles and insider picks.
For something bolder, book a seated tasting at Orin Swift Cellars, then step into the red room at JCB St. Helena. Moody, styled, and completely immersive.
Before you move on, stop at The Saint and ask for the vault. Candlelit, tucked away, and often open later with live music.
Walk the grounds at Beringer Vineyards; celebrating 150 years, past the Rhine House and through one of St. Helena’s most iconic storied estates. Continue on to Charles Krug Winery, where expansive, beautifully kept grounds invite you to slow down.

Where you’re eating along the way
Start at The Charter Oak, where everything is built around the hearth and the season, then keep it easy at Gott’s Roadside for a St. Helena classic.
Cook St. Helena sets a slower, chef-driven pace, while just steps away Ray Ray’s Tacos brings hand-pressed tortillas, bold house-made salsas, and Austin-style tacos. Around the corner, Market St. Helena leans seasonal American dishes. Sam’s General Store blends café and local market energy.
End where food becomes immersive at Culinary Institute of the Americas at Greystone, historic stone walls, student chefs at work, and seasonal menus.

Slow down and wander
Once you hit the Historic Shopping District, park the car. You’ll want to take this part on foot.
Start at Arcilla Napa Valley, a refined mix of contemporary footwear and accessories. A few doors down, step into Caldwell Snyder Gallery, with rooms of rotating exhibitions and large-scale works.
Slow your pace at Hartford House filled with globally sourced pieces, leather goods, and jewelry each one meant to be discovered.
Shift into something more local with Steve’s Hardware, practical, familiar, and still very much part of daily life in town.
As the afternoon softens, walk toward Cameo Cinema, California’s oldest continuously operating single-screen theater.
Finish with an elevated style reset at elysewalker and Veronica Beard.

Where the valley slows for the night
Southbridge Napa Valley puts you in the middle of everything, walkable to dining, wineries, and shops.
Wydown Hotel is intimate and design-forward, layered with local detail and quiet personality.
Inn St. Helena keeps you steps from downtown and historic vineyards, with breakfast, evening wine, and warm hospitality.
