In Napa Valley it’s always wine o’clock somewhere. While we’ll always have a crush on a big glass of Napa Cab, sometimes you have to get into the spirit of things. We’ve found some of our favorite places in St Helena, to enjoy the happiest of hours. In the mood for a moscow mule? How about a drinks and a bite to eat? Happy Hour is a great (and affordable) way to sample another side of St Helena.

The Lo-down: A great place in downtown St. Helena, located next to their sister restaurant in St. Helena. Lots of great pub fare, with very knowledgeable bartenders serving up fresh and inventive cocktails.
Can’t miss drink: Bee Royalty: Bombay gin, dry white wine, spicy ginger shrub, honey. lemon, & bee pollen.

The Lo-down: Archetype offers an iconic Americana menu that takes a contemporary out-of-the-box approach to classic dishes. Nearly every dish has the signature char from their wood-burning grill.

The Lo- Down: Press is a St. Helena favorite for steak. Nestled back from Highway 29, the ambience fits the farmhouse feel of a lot of Napa Valley with elevated food and laid back valley vibes. Sidle up to the bar to enjoy the cozy light and lighter menu.
Can’t miss drink: Basil Beauty: 5-7 fresh basil leaves, 1 medium lime, 1/2 oz of simple syrup, & 3 oz of No. 209 Gin.

The Lo-Down: Farmstead is part winery, part working farm and grower of all things sustainable and organic. Housed in a former nursery barn, their restaurant is centered around an open kitchen, family-style dining, a full bar and an authentic farm-to-table menu. Check out their large outdoor patio with a great fireplace to cozy up in front of.
