Dakota Shy Winery
DETAILS

Dakota Shy Winery is located on a beautiful estate, at the base of Pritchard Hill, in the heart of Napa Valley. The early history of the property pre-dates the statehood of California – going back to 1836 when George C. Yount was gifted the Rancho Caymus land grant by General Vallejo. From the 1850s onward, the property was a stop on the wagon route for those heading north to Calistoga or over Sage Canyon Road to the Sacramento valley.

From carefully selected vineyards, produced in very small quantities and artfully crafted to reflect a sense of place, Dakota Shy wines are a testament to Napa Valley’s reputation for producing the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines in the world. Dakota Shy welcomes visitors by appointment only. They have a $75 tasting fee per guest.
