Join St. Helena Historical Society and St. Helena Drama on Sunday, September 27, 2026 for the 22nd annual Cemetery Walk.

The Spirits this year are the first City Council members.

Students will enact stories about the lives of these new legislators.

Incorporation helped stabilize St. Helena as it transitioned from being a small rural settlement to an organized commercial and agricultural center for the upper Napa Valley wine and banking industries.

The town’s first election took place on April 10, 1876.

Voting rights were severely restricted to male property owners who paid a $3 poll tax.
