The Slanted Door announces the launch of The Next Table, a three-part collaborative dinner series honoring the life and legacy of its founder, the late Chef Charles Phan.

Created in collaboration with PRESS Restaurant and Stateline Road Smokehouse, the series brings together Chefs Dong Choi (The Slanted Door), Philip Tessier (PRESS Restaurant), and Darryl Bell (Stateline Road Smokehouse) for a set of intimate, multi-course dining experiences.

Each dinner will be guided by Chef Phan’s philosophy, with the menus evolving across the series, reflecting the chefs’ ongoing dialogue and individual interpretations.

The result is a dynamic exchange where classic Vietnamese tradition, refined French technique, and live-fire smokehouse cooking intersect in thoughtful and unexpected ways.

Join us at PRESS for a seated five-course dinner, all in honor of the great Charles Phan.

Reception will take place from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm, with dinner starting at 6:30 pm.
