This creative class is an invitation to play with paper and connect with other craft-curious folks.

Participants will learn techniques for combining materials and layering for depth and design using a colorful palette of collected papers.

Class will begin with warm-up exercises using precut geometric shapes where each participant will design and create a quilt square.

When complete, these mini quilt squares will be displayed together on a table for participants to arrange and rearrange throughout the class.

The remainder of class time will be devoted to collaging a greeting card, postcard, or bookmarks.

Students get to take home any cut and collected collage materials to continue working on their projects to their creative heart’s desire.

Through the process of using unexpected materials, this paper collage art class offers a relaxing, creative way to explore composition, color, and texture by assembling cut or torn papers to create unique, layered artworks.
