Indigo is one of the world’s most revered and celebrated dyes. The tradition of dyeing with indigo is over 3000 years old and spans the globe.
To this day, it remains one of the worlds most prized and sought after colors and is still shrouded in mystique and mystery.
In this class students will learn the basics of the ancient art of indigo vat dyeing, as well as folding patterns, ties, and thread binding techniques to make some beautifully patterned and naturally dyed items.
There will be tea towels and scarves available for dyeing with additional items available for purchase! Be sure to wear clothing you don’t mind getting a little blue!
