Celebrate the arrival of autumn with Pastry Chef Samantha Estes in the Under-Study Teaching Kitchen for a hands-on confectionery experience inspired by some of the season’s most beloved treats: homemade caramel apples and caramel popcorn.
Begin the class with a welcome glass of Dom Pérignon before learning the art of crafting rich, buttery caramel from scratch.
Chef Sam will guide guests through the techniques behind creating perfectly smooth caramel, from understanding sugar cookery to achieving ideal flavor, texture, and consistency.
Once the caramel is ready, you’ll dip and decorate your own caramel apples using a selection of seasonal toppings inspired by the flavors of fall.
The remaining caramel will then be transformed into fresh caramel popcorn, allowing guests to explore another classic seasonal treat while learning techniques that can be recreated at home throughout the holiday season.
In This Workshop, You Will:
- Learn the fundamentals of homemade caramel, including cooking temperatures, texture, and flavor development
- Gain confidence working with sugar and caramel in a hands-on environment
