Join us for this fourth annual gala event: Books on Wine. A reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres kicks off the evening and allows plenty of time to view the exhibit of books published about wine in the year 2010. You may also enter the raffle for a magnum of Library Reserve wine produced especially for us in very limited supply. When you’ve perused the books on display, refresh
your glass of wine, find a seat and enjoy a presentation by Jim Gordon on Opus Vino, an 800-page masterpiece that offers fresh insight into the wines from around the world. The book was supported by more than thirty contributors and several of these writers will also be on hand to answer questions and share their encyclopedic knowledge of wine. For those wishing to purchase copies of Opus
Vino, we will have a supply on-hand. Be sure to have your copies signed by Jim and the contributing writers! This is a lively, informative event not to be missed!
Jim Gordon has been reporting and writing on the wine industry for 25 years. He is the editor of Wines & Vines magazine and for many years was the managing editor of the Wine Spectator. He and his family live in Napa, where he tends his vineyard and makes his own wine.
