Relocating to St. Helena, California and the Napa Valley
St. Helena continues to attract visitors and new homebuyers with its status as a small town agricultural center, a provider of fine wines and fine food, and its location within easy reach of sea, mountains and San Francisco.
St. Helena Real Estate Overview
Recent sales of agricultural land in Napa County ranged in price valley-wide from $45,000 to $300,000 per acre. In the heart of the valley, i.e. Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Howell Mountain, recent sale prices ranged from $150,000 to $300,000 per acre. Like the rest of the United States, valley-wide home sales in 2007 were generally down. Hardest hit were St. Helena and American Canyon with total number of residential sales down about 45% from the prior year.
St. Helena continues to lead Napa Valley’s real estate values despite the inescapable downturn in area wide and nationwide values.
