Event Description: CIA Samplings 2 hour hands-on cooking classes every other Saturday. Each class to consist of 30 minutes of lecture/demo and hands-on cooking with a 10 minute tasting and glass of wine at the end Highlights a specific region of the world per month. 12 participants per class 6 appetizer recipes per class Pricing: $95.00 per person November: FLAVORS OF THE NEW SPANISH TABLE Exquisite in their simplicity and representative of the casual entertaining of Spain, tapas are all the rage. These incredibly satisfying “little plates” have become popular throughout the world, and in this class you’ll get an introduction to the recipes and techniques for preparing everything from light finger foods to heartier small bites. You’ll work with classic ingredients such as olive oil, almonds, hazelnuts, piquillo peppers, saffron, anchovies, coarse sea salt, and smoky paprika as you enjoy a taste of the Spanish table. Olé!
Directions:
The CIA is approximately 1/4 mile north of the town of St. Helena on the left, 1 1/2 – 2 hours north of San Francisco in the heart of the Napa Valley.
