Parks & Recreation in the St. Helena Region
Crane Park is located on Crane Ave. the 10 acre park
consists of 6 lighted tennis courts, 4 lighted bocce ball courts, 2 Little
League baseball fields, horse shoe pits, children's play ground, a skate
park and individual and group picnic areas and two restrooms. Group picnic
areas must be reserved during peak use months of April through October.
Crane Park is home of the St. Helena Farmers Market which is open from 7:30
to 11:30 a.m. every Friday May through October.

Lyman Park is
located on Main Street next to City Hall and is the venue for the Chamber's
Musical Picnics in Lyman Park, our five free summertime outdoor concerts.
The one acre park consist of individual picnic tables,
grassy areas, a children's play area and historic
gazebo. The gazebo may be rented for weddings, birthday parties etc. This is
a passive park and no active game playing is allowed.

Baldwin Park is
located at 1591 Spring Street between St. James Drive and North Crane
Avenue. The 1 acre park is predominately grass and offers picnic tables on
the south side.

Lewis Station Park
offers picnic tables and public restrooms. Located on Church Street.

Mary Fryer Park
is located on Mitchell Drive between Voorhees Circle and St. James Drive.
The park is adjacent of Spring Creek Pond and is about 1 acre. Offering
picnic tables and play equipment designed for pre-school aged children.
Meily Park is
the newest park in town and has a wide open field to kick around a soccer
ball and is located on Pope Street.

Hiking Locations
Bothe-Napa Valley State Park offers many secluded trails ranging from many types of skill level hiking, taking you on historic routes and paths that parallel a year round stream shaded by redwoods, firs and other plants that prefer cool, moist environments. Take Highway 29 North through the town of St. Helena before Calistoga. It is on the west side of Hwy 29.
Robert Louis Stevenson State Park (Mount St. Helena) is the place where famous author of Treasure Island and Kidnapped spent is honeymoon in 1880. There is a five-mile strenuous hike to the top of Mt. St. Helena from which one can see much of the Bay Area and on a good day you can see 192 miles to the top of Mount Shasta. Follow Highway 29 north past Calistoga and it turns into Highway 128, the park is on the East Side of Hwy 128.
Lake Hennessy offers a 4 mile round trip easy hike around the lake. Simply follow Conn Valley Road to the North West corner of the lake.
Lake Berryessa
Located just 16 miles northeast of Napa, Lake Berryessa and the surrounding area - Chiles Valley, Pope Valley, and Capell Valley - offer year-round fun and recreation for all ages. The lake is one of the largest bodies of fresh water in California. It's approximately 26 miles long and 3 miles wide with 165 miles of shoreline, which is even more than Lake Tahoe. Lake Berryessa and the nearly 10,000 acres surrounding it, are administered by the Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Department of the Interior.
