Why it Pays to Be A Member:
Referrals:
The St. Helena Chamber of Commerce refers member businesses. Chamber
staff provides many thousands of referrals to members annually to people that
walk into the Chamber office, call the Chamber or visit the Chamber's website-
www.sthelena.com- which provides free
hotlinks to member businesses. Chamber members may promote their businesses or
event with brochures in the visitor center.
Visitor Center & Exploring St. Helena & Chamber Directory:
All members are promoted in Exploring St. Helena, the Chamber's
visitor and relocation guide published annually. 20,000 of these guides are
printed and distributed each year.
Website Listing:
All Chamber member businesses may be found on the Chamber's website-
www.sthelena.com. Free links are
provided as well as opportunities for increased marketing exposure are
available on the website.
Business and Education Seminars:
The St. Helena Chamber of Commerce provides forums and seminars each year
for local businesses, starting with the popular and informational Labor Law
workshop each January touting new HR-related laws implemented by the state.
Chamber members may attend at lower rates than non-members.
Committee Involvement:
All Chamber members are invited to get involved and join a Chamber committee
if they so choose. It is an opportunity to add your voice and expertise to
an area of your interest. Chamber committees include: Government Relations,
St. Helena Merchants, Great Wine Capitals and Ambassadors, as well as event committees like Musical Picnics in Lyman
Park and the Chamber Bocce Tournament.
Affordable Promotional Opportunities:
The Chamber provides a menu of affordable promotional opportunities for
members. HOTsheets are inserted each month into the newsletter. Members
provide the Chamber with 600 flyers and an $80 insertion fee. Advertising in
the Chamber's award-winning monthly newsletter, First Thursday, is
remarkably affordable. In addition to being direct-mailed to members each
month, First Thursday is inserted into the St. Helena Star, thus reaching
approximately 5000 readers per month. Contact the Star for advertising
information at 963-2731. Only Chamber members are able to purchase sets of
member mailing labels at a cost of $50. While members receive free links
from www.sthelena.com, there are opportunities for increased exposure on the

First Thursday:
First Thursday is the Chamber's monthly newsletter, which was recognized in
2004 as the best small-town Chamber of Commerce newsletter in the Western
U.S. by the Western Association of Chamber Executives. First Thursday is
direct-mailed to member businesses each month as well as inserted into the
St. Helena Star, thus reaching 5000 readers on a monthly basis. First
Thursday keeps readers up to date on the activities of the Chamber and
introduces new members to the community as well.
Today in Wine Country- St. Helena Edition:
The St. Helena Chamber has a weekly business talk show on KVON 1440 AM every
other Wednesday morning from 9-10am. Does your business have an interesting story
